Hi,

Not a problem. You are correct, that would be the RK80546KG0881M.

Thanks,

Thank you for the service tag, Andrew.

From the spec sheet: Up to two Intel® XEON™ III processors at 2.4GHz, 2.8GHz, 3.06GHz and 3.20GHz

OK, sorry, but just to be clear... You're saying 3.2GHz is the limiting factor? Does that mean I can use two 3.2GHz, 64-bit Xeon 7130M?

Sorry if it's a dumb question - I like to think I'm pretty good at technical stuff, but swapping server processors is a little outside of my comfort zone.

Thanks again for your help!

Hi,

You can use 2 64-bit Intel® Xeon® Processor 3.20 GHz, 1M Cache, 800 MHz FSB. Another factor that affects the processor is the BIOS. The BIOS on the 2600 came out in 2005 with the latest update 2011.

Hope that helps.

I've got the A14 BIOS, which looks like the most recent version, so it looks like that much is good to go.

OK - one last confirmation and then I'll be out of your hair, I promise

According to my research, you're referring to part number...

RK80546KG0881M

...am I right?

Awesome, thanks for your help!

Not as many cores as I was hoping for, but it fits the (lack of) budget nicely!
