I don't now Fedora, as i'm working with Suse, but the log you showed, says, that the BIOS seems only to know about a 1680x1050 panel!
Are You sure, your panel is a 1920x1200??

Thanks for your answer,

According to Dell web site the i9100 definitely has a 1920x1200 panel and I bought it for that !!!!

My screen resolution seems to be set by the BIOS but I don't know how to change that ???

Thanks anyway,

Stef.

My problem seems to be related with some BIOS parameters.

Thanks anyway,

stef1205: The BIOS setup (I am speaking of that setup where you enter by pressing F2) should not have eanything to do with the LCD maximal resolution. Usually, the resolution is detected by the drivers by quering the LDC itself (apparently, the X server & its drivers are not detecting them correctly as the xorg.log states: (II) RADEON(0): Total number of valid DDC mode(s) found: 0). My question is: is there a special setting in the 9100 BIOS that lets you modify the maximum resolution?

No, There nothing that allows screen configuration in the BIOS setup ( F2 key before booting ).

Thanks,

Stef.
