Thanks for posting.  Apologies for the issues surrounding your purchase.

If you are not purchasing directly from Dell or an authorized reseller, or a recognized retailer, then the validity of the seller's claims may be suspect.  If the price sounds like it is too good to be true, then "buyer beware". 

If you have the Service Tag number, please send it to me in a Private Message along with your personal information and I'll see what I can do.  Thanks.

I also have the same question: is the Dell laptop I bought really new? The tape on the box doesn't look right; it is not carefully placed. How can I know if this laptop is truly new and unused?

I would appreciate any help you can provide.
