Divine Kaos,

Thank you for using Dell's Community Forum.

How fast is “extremely fast?

90 mins- tops.

I really feel this could be largely impacted by the processor always running at 3.4 GHz.

Regards,

I was reading about the iXPS and have been unable to find anything referring to SpeedStep- does it feature it?

Your sig/pic at the bottem isn't working there DK. And I do not think your XPS features it, and if it does, but I could be wrong.

The XPS utilizes a P4 chip and as such doesn't support Speedstep. You would have had to purchase one of the laptops with the Pentium M line for speed step.

The video card does support a speedstep sort of system but the battery savings from that are minimal.
