yes the fans are working pretty well,i don't know why this happened it was all of sudden was playing an over watch game and fps got down from 60 to 20 then goes up rapidly to 60 but this is happening so often that it became annoying and unbearable
please any help,i tried to even install a new OS but still its there,i have 2 gpus if that is important one is intel 630HD and other is nividia Gtx 1050 TI
FPS drops from capped 70 to 1-20 and also sounds of the game (Overwatch), voice calls in Discord and everything else lag and stutter as if some kind of robot was dying screaming.
Weird thing is: turning ultra graphics settings back on from low temporarily helped me stabilise FPS, but that worked only for a couple of days. Now the stuttering and FPS drops are more severe and frequent (almost constant).
If this is a thermal problem, I didn't expect to run into it only after 5 months of using the laptop.

Dropping to that frame rate you have some extreme thermal throttling killing everything...some extreme failure.
Did this laptop get really hot in a game?....maybe too much game for it or too long?
Warranty it. When you get it back get one of those cooler pads you place under laptops.

You have a GTX 1050 in that thing.
Nice...hope you can figure out why it aint workin.
Power management letting the measly Intel 630 graphics run your game because you do not have it plugged into AC?

Thank you for your message. I will be glad to assist you with this.
What is the BIOS version installed?
Have you observed any thermal issues with the computer? Does the system heat up or do you get any thermal error messages?
Open Nvidia control panel & set the game to open automatically with the Nvidia card.
Please update the Intel Chipset device driver & Intel Dynamic Platform & Thermal Framework driver.

What is a Dell Service Tag and how do I locate it?
