I have the same problem. My system is Inspirion 1100, Intel 845GL chipset running Windows XP Pro with SP1 installed. I have the latest video and chipset drivers. After connecting laptop to TV-set via S-video I can't get any picture on the TV. In advanced properties tab of control panel (display section) there is no TV to configure. There is a LCD section and a monitor section (I think this applies to external monitor) but no TV. Seems like driver "can't see" TV-out connection. Is there a solution to this?

SOLVED IT! I flashed the Bios to the new version A30 and that fixed the problem. After two days, the solution took 30 seconds. Download from here:
