I'm using a Generic 2 ports NEC based EHCI/OHCI éUSB 2.0 cardbus since about 1 year on my I-8200 and I never had any trouble with it in both 1.1 and 2.0 mode. DEvices I used range from usb 2.0 ADS enclosure (cd-burner in), Mobil Disc usb 2.0 2.5 HD enclosure, microsoft mouse, Fuji digital camera, game pad (ss), memory card readers, a few memory KEYs one in 2.0 mode and finally a printer !

My cardbus chipset is a TExas instrument, Orange micro had several troubles with chipset drivers supporting NEC usb 2.0 based cardbus cards...

Also you need Sp1 in Xp to support usb 2.0 if you run Win 95, 98, 98Se, NT or Me, you are looking for trouble, especially when your installation is old  and if you alredy upgraded hardware or added peripherals...

Also i don't  think any Usb 1.1 or 2.0 cardbus card support UHCI, they are all OHCI adding EHCI when 2.0 enter the place...

UHCI chips are only for chipset build in usb I think (VIA, Intel, Sis Southbridges...)

But except when booting from UHCI and OHCI do exactly the same thing and get the same result and performance, i think it's only a method of handling the bud for the system... On PCI bus 9separate chip) or on southbridge...

The belkin Cardbus USB 2.0 CARD works fine in my Inspiron 7000 in both usb1 and usb 2.0 mode.

While microsoft doesnt support usb 2.0 third party vendors like intel and belkin etc have made WIN98SE wdm drivers for usb 2.0

If you have WIN98 or WIN95B or WIN95C this card doesnt work.

I purchased a Orange USB CardBus ( 4 port 2.0 high speed) from Dell last December for my Inspiron 7500 750 mhz Pentium 3 Windows 2000 Pro. No Problems period. I have a 7 port Belkin USB hub hooked up to one port and a cable modem on another port. The Belkin hub is supporting my scanner, printer, DVD-CD burner, memory stick reader, and a Logitec mouse. I found your note while trying to source another Cardbus for my son-in-law for his Inspiron 5000.

Good Luck!
