Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. "Call of Duty" actually runs pretty well on the 5150, and I didn't expect it to. But that game is still not "Far Cry". ;)
Overclock your FX5200 using the program powerstrip to 225/525. Then play with settings at 1024x768 with no anti aliasing. Use a mix of low and medium settings. It runs pretty decent.

Yea I continue to pray for a Radeon 9600 for the 5150 but so far no luck. Maybe someday...
It's nice to dream. I wish I would have known that the Go5200 was as slow as it is. I just ASSumed it would be pretty fast since it was a DX 9 card. What makes it worse is I bought a 5150 earlier for my girlfriend, and never bothered to benchmark it to see what it could do. I would have considered paying more for a different system. Next time I do my homework first.

Sigh, I really need to upgrade to something better than the dx7 card in my 5100 ...
You can upgrade to the dx8 Radeon 9000, which in some cases is faster than the Go5200. Some claim you can't upgrade if you have an XGA display, though this doesn't make much sense since the card can do XGA on a 5150.
I will when I need it (mainly when tribes3 comes out) ... no need to void the warranty on something unsupported till then ... but yes, it seems like it works for people

Ok, I'm not as disappointed as I thought I'd be. It runs fairly well and looks good with most options set at medium. The graphics were all messed up until I installed the 1.1 patch, but after that they look great.
I called Dell parts and they said they have a 9600 Pro 128 MB card available for the 5150. Runs about 350 for you to install it yourself, I didn't ask what the price was to have it installed. I had called them about 4 months ago, and they told me this. Can somebody confirm this more recently?

I play farcry on my 5150. Here's the trick...

Don't count on it. If the 9600Pro was available for the 5150 months ago, this forum would be loaded with people that switched cards.

I just called dell spare parts and all they gave me was
GeForce FX Go5200 64MB for $89.99
Radeon 9000 64MB for $125.00
Radeon 7500 64MB for $99.00
Why anyone would buy the 7500 i dont know but sadly they didnt give me any radeon 9600 option.
