VMAXe 2engines frontend directors numbers ?

I will be installing a VMAXe with 2 engines in a near future and I would like to know what are the FrontEnd director numbers for the engine2.

Looking at the documention , it mentioned that for engine1 we have DIR 1 (odd) and DIR 2 (even), then for engine2 do we have DIR 3 (odd) and DIR 4 (even) ?

Thanks for the clarification

EMC populates the engines from the middle out.  A 2 engine V-max would have engines 4 and 5 so if I count right its directors 7, 8, 9, and 10.

thanks for this answer, but you are talking about V-MAX and I am talking about VMAXe which is a diffrent box, the engine/directors numbers are differents from a V-MAX.

Think of Rule of 9

engine sequence

4,5, dir 7,8 and 9,10

3,6 , dir 5,6 and 11,12

2,7 , dir 3,4 and  13,14

1,8 , dir 1,2 and 15,16

I missed the "E" anyway there is a VMAXe viewer you can download and see what your configuration will look like.  looks like EMC puts an engine in each bay so its engine 1-4 as far as director numbers it doesnt say.  If they stay similar to the DMX1k  it may be 1,2,7,8,9,10,15,16.   Anyway let us know what shows up for you.

BTW EMC nice job on that viewer tool.

For the Director layout, you are correct. According to the VMAXe Product Guide;

System Bay 1 has Engine 1 with Director 1 and 2.

System Bay 2 has Engine 2 with Director 3 and 4.

For the viewer I searched Powerlink (http://powerlink.emc.com) for VMAXe System Viewer .

Hope this helps.
