Just rereading your post.. are any of the other computers connected wirelessly? If not, then you may have an issue with your router not communicating between wired/wireless. Which router do you have?
I can't think of a solution off the top of my heard, but see if you can ping the other computers while using the wireless card. Also try to ping the problem computer from the ones that can see each other. If you can ping back and forth, try mapping a drive both ways to see if you can gain access.
The only other thing I can think of might be wins on the problem 98 box, (check the others to see if they have a wins in place) or perhaps it's a workgoup or Domain issue. I doubt that you are running a domain though.
You might want to do an ipconfig.exe /all on both 98 boxes to be sure that the settings are exactly the same.. and pull any firewalls that might be running.
The router is also a D-link. (wireless/wired). Yes when I use my XP notebook with a wireless card, it can see the Win98 box that is not giving me trouble, as well as the wired XP box.
I'll try the other suggestions over the weakend. Thanks.
