No, I did not get if fixed and the support I got from Dell was extremly poor, either they would not know or would tell me to call a phone number that would never answer.
I called my ISP to check if their SW on my Windows 98 had not changed some parameters that would have been left even after I had uninstalled the SW, that was not the case.
In my best attempt, I could "see" from my Windows XP PC, the shared folder I had created on my windows 98 PC, but could not acces to it. I verified workgroup was ok, sharing privileges were ok, no firewall. On Windows 98 PC, I changed IP settings to dynamic to allow DHCP from TrueMobile to set IP, or forced IP address to range acceptable to settings in TrueMobile, nothing would work.
I ended buying a Linksys router, with DHCP enabled, to which I connected the TruMobile box with DHCP disabled, and set up as access, and everything worked.
TrueMobile 2300 does not seem to be compatible with Windows 98, and after hours of changes, reboot, I gave up
I forgot to add that the Windows 98 PC (not wireless) is connected to the Linksys router, and that the Windows XP PC coulc be either wireless or connected to any of the ports from either Linksys or TrueMobile boxes
Actually the windows 98 is wireless and the main computer with xp is direct connected to the router.
I was reading some information that says the dell 2300 router is not compatable with windows 98
I have checked the router and given the router the mac address of the wireless card on the windows 98 laptop.
Was in winipconfg and release and renew the connection. No luck connecting to the router wireless. I am using a Netgear 8011b card. Software is installed in the laptop and it recognizes it.

How are you connecting the machines, are they both wired to the 2300, or is one wired and the other one not?
And which machine is connected to the 2300 and the DSL modem? after you post more info, I MIGHT be able to help or not.. Will see.
