Dell Image Expert blocking the opening of e-mail attachments

I have WINDOWS XP w/Outlook Express 6.  About 2 months ago, nearly everytime I try to open an attachment to an e-mail, a dialog window pops up saying 'DELL IMAGE EXPERT cannot open this attachment'.  The REALLY IRRITATING part is, that I can forward the same message to my wife's account (on the same computer) and have no problem at all. I have been given one suggestion to 'reinstall Internet Explorer and Outlook Express' but the instructions look as complicated (and potentially as devestating) as prostate surgery!  Anybody out there have a less radical suggestion for clearing what appears to be an unwanted program blockage. I can't seem to find any 'tool' to manipulate Outlook Express and I would rather NOT delete Dell Image Expert.

Since Outlook Express is part of Windows, try posting in the Software - Windows XP forum where there is a lot more traffic. You problem is not really a problem with networks. Good luck finding a solution over there.
