Is there a way to display "Device Identifier Name" for a given device (tdev in may case) via SYMCLI?

If you want a specific device though, add -devs to that like so:
C:\Users\hostec>symdev list -sid 38 -identifier device_name -devs 770
Symmetrix ID: 000195701238
Device
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sym Config Attr Device Name
---- --------------- ---- -----------------------------------------------
0770 TDEV (M) VMware DS01

Richard,
Try 'symdev list -identifier device_name'
Thanks,

Thanks Cody; clearly I missed the 'for a given device' bit of Richard's question
