VNX Monitoring & Reporting Alert Sample Time

Hello,

Is there a way to set a minimum sample time before M&R sends and alert?

For example, a LUN almost always runs below 5ms response time, but every so

often, for one sampling, the LUN spikes above 20ms.  This one 20ms+ sampling

will cause M&R to send an alert.  Is there a way to tell M&R to only alert if there

are "n" or more samples above the threshold?

Thanks,

Will S.

Thanks for sending this along.  I had looked at this before, and hadn't found a way to change alerting to look at sample time.  Guess there isn't a way to do it.

Thanks

Thanks for the link, but unfortunately it doesn’t appear that M&R is capable of

looking at sampling times for alerting. If there is a quick, single spike, it appears

as if an alert is sent. It would be nice if it was configurable to say that multiple

samples in a row need to be beyond the threshold before an alert is sent.

Thanks again.
