I haven't heard about any problems on this forum with the Dell 250 watt PS and the 9800 pro and it's been used for quite awhile by a lot of forum members. Dell is just covering their hind quarters with that statement.

Get your 9800 pro, install and enjoy!  See specs below.  All running off the 250 watt stock power supply.  No issues whatsoever.

i'm running an msi 9800 pro (essentially 9800xt) on a dimension 4300 with a 250W rated power supply. it works. that's all there is to it.

I'm runnin one on my diemsion 4400, btw does any one know any benchmarks for doom 3 running on a pentium 4 2.0A 400FSB (or close) processor with a 9800 pro?

i know it's not a 9800xt but it comes up in the bios as one, and it is overclockable to those speeds. that's why i used the word "essentially"..... i'm not an idiot
