It says (code 12) which means that something else is using it, under the conflicting resources there are no other devices??? i had the same problem with the infared sensor on it, with using my COM1 port, serial, i had to uninstall the infared, but it appeard in the conflicting resources of the serial port!!!
Well i needed to use my COM1 serial port and it had the yellow ! just like the audio, so i disabled some stuff, and wehn i uninstalled the Infared sensor thing my com 1 and audio works!!!!
My speakers are blown, what else would fit?
HOw can i delete my INFared port for good??? without it starting up everytime i restart? can i just remove the hardware?
Ok, here is what i did, I bought a new keyboard, since i couldnt use the [FN] key, got that installed, and went into the bios with [FN] F2 when it starts up, scroll through the pages, and u can turn off the Infrared port, which no one uses it anywyas, then the audio started working, and my Serial port started working also!!!
The sound worked fine with 98, but not with 2000 or xp, hope that this helps you!

I have the same problem with the Latitude CPi running XP, the Crystal audio codec says "no resources",
code 12. The infrared port is also marked as not working. I can't find any conflicting settings (yet).
HELP!

Thanks much , rob! I disabled the infrared in BIOS and the sound board is now working perfectly in XP!
