Thank you for your answer and you can probably guess my question now. I have inadvertently broke a prong on the plastic Z!F Connector. Any ideas how I may obtain 2 or 3 new ones?
My only suggestion at this point would be to look to a local computer repair store for a ZIF connector that fits the motherboard. The Inspiron 3000 is an older system and if you send it into the repair depot, you will be charged $699 for a replacement motherboard.
