Latitude 7490; Windows 10/Linux kernel 4.20; can't suspend

OS: Windows 10 with recent updates, Kubuntu + kernel 4.18 and 4.20
BIOS ver.: 1.7.2

I just reinstalled Windows 10 because of I curious if suspend problem I posted on reddit is only within Linux and I thought someday I will need Office 2016.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Dell/comments/adtywd/linuxsolus_plasma_dell_latitude_7490_sleep_on/

After downloading the drivers I really need, tweaking my Windows 10 installation, I try to use suspend function on battery mode, but the laptop goes to blank/turned off.

The problem is only with the battery mode. With AC mode, suspend function in various ways is working.

BIOS 'Block Sleep' feature is turned off.

So, I'm sure this problem is not from the both OS.
Please immediately fix the BIOS firmware.

My problem is fixed. I called the call center on Monday and they sent the technician today. So, there is a manufacturing defect on the screen cable position. It's not properly placed. For a precaution, the technician changed the mainboard too. If you have the similar problem like me, try to contact Dell call center and ask them to check the cable

I already download this SSD firmware, which is exactly for my laptop

https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/drivers/driversdetails?driverId=N91D4&osCode=WT64A&productCode=latitude-14-7490-laptop

On battery mode, 'close lid to suspend'/'press suspend and then close lid', still not working.

We have 25 of these and they often will not wake out of sleep.

That along with a very high usb type c port failure(mobo replacement needed) wifi flakyness and dying screen backlights.

Another gripe is that they cancelled the ds1000 dock which really helped clear up peoples desks but they started to fail one by one. Dell discontinued.

Looking into other vendors for this year. We have 6 surfaces and they have been pretty solid.

The problem with them is that there is not a good warranty, and the battery is not replaceable, making the device disposable once the battery life goes, 2-3 years.

Is there any answer from Dell? I posted this thread 1 week ago but no answer like "Okay, we will send this issue to our engineers"
