Bundle drivers for "J5 create" USB 3 / ethernet adapter

USB 3 / ethernet adapters are of particular interest to XPS 13 owners, since the machine lacks built-in ethernet.

Best Buy stocks one call the "j5 create", which includes vendor-provided Linux drivers:

I would be nice if Dell made these drivers easily available or pre-installed, so that plugging in the the USB/ethernet adapter for the first time "just worked".

FYI Inspiron17 7773 had same issue, yet the J5 JC374 may or may not have created a 'bogus' funnel test warning when used as USB source for the Seagate ( same maker as Dell used for included HD ) 1K9AAC-570 STDR4000100 ( 4 TB Backup Plus Portable Storage ). There are other things to consider: USB C port is currently in use for 1 G connection to Cable modem, HDMI monitor. I moved the 4TB drive to the available USB2.0 port and the Quick Test diagnostic Funnel Test passes. Because you are talking to one OEM ( original equipment manufacturer ) about a product that is needed, your suggestion is great ( kudos ). Because you did not specify which J5 device you wish them to support for the Linux crowd, well- I would possibly be one to ask which particular model do you think they might resell or provide drivers for... I may one day consider putting the adapter/hub to work on a different OS or machine. Thanks for asking Dell, others are glad you did!
