Well, the 600m I think only came with R9000s... but I could be wrong.
Any ways, starting with something simple. Is the gray switch pole (just above your power button) stuck down when this happens? This is pretty common from what I hear. This is what turns the screen off when you close the lid.
Well, there is the system RAM and video ram. The video ram is permanently attached to the board... so it can't be re-seated. Thus, the system RAM is the only ram that is re-seatable.
Okay, but is there a way to clear the ram's without taking them out? On my mac, I just have to hold down "PRAM", or "VRAM" and it clears them... is there a key combination for the laptop?
I am having the same issue too. Now it seems to happen everytime I start up. If I stand by the computer a couple of times after start up then wake it up it will reappear.
Well that's kinda good to hear that someone else is having the problem, although it's not a good problem to have. The person Dell sent was supposed to come today, but I called, and they told me that they didn't have anymore of those specific logic boards (how great!) I'm kinda mad at the whole Dell warranty thing because first they tell me someone will be sent within 2 days, and they use the maximum time possible, then tell me they're not coming.
I know I'm not a large business, but when something breaks, and I have warranty, they fix it, and have parts on hand. Imagine them not having a part for a hosting server!
So now there is one person that has had the same (or similar) problem of no display picture at all when turning the laptop on, and I am positive that there are more. If the problem is unique to 600m's with Centrino, and my configuration, then Dell should make a recall, and HAVE ENOUGH LOGIC BOARDS. I hate to keep bringing this up, but:

If you look at some of the ohter posts this is not that uncommon. I just tried reinstalling the video driver from the support website and it worked fine after it rebooted.
Hopefully it was just a software error. Good luck with the parts. I have had similar problems and I understand the small business aspect. Everything I do in business is on this computer. If it goes down, I am up the creek. I back up to an external hard drive about one time per week but it my computer is lost, that is it.

Is there a way to reset all the different types of RAM in the comptuer? I think that could do it...
If I can't fix it, someone is coming (sent by Dell) to replace the motherboard (although I doubt that it's the problem)... meh.
