Venue 11 7140 won't turn on from power botton

I have the above mentioned device that fails to power on using the power button. How I'm able to power it on is by disconnecting the battery, plugging in the power cord. The device turns on by itself, i reconnect the battery and then unplug the power cord.

I have done all device driver updates along with updating bios from A09 to A18 and still no change. Any way I can get over this hurdle?
