XPS 13-9360, LCD upgrade
Hi,
I currently have a Dell XPS 13 9360 edition, which has an FHD screen at the moment with no touch.
I wanted to know if I buy an XPS13 9360 QHD+ Touch Screen replacement touchscreen panel, can I fit it on my laptop.
Most of the connector seems the same, apart from QHD+Touch has one extra cable. My guess is that's for touch sensors.
I am assuming the laptop should already have a place to plug that extra cable in too?
I am looking at this website, which shows the pictures of both.
https://www.laptopscreen.com/English/model/Dell/XPS%2013%209360/
I really don't wanna get a new laptop as this is very good for me right now, just missing the touchscreen feature.

Yes, you can replace the screen with a QHD touch -- subject to realizing it will appreciably slow system performance and cut the battery runtime by about 50% (if you now see 8 hours of battery run, you'll see about 4 with QHD).
If the system is in warranty, bear in mind the screen replacement will void the warranty.

Yes, if you have a few hundred dollars and aren't concerned with the warranty or with battery life (expect the battery runtime to be cut in half from what it is now).

hi there,
so its mean the Batteries laptop capability was deferent with the touch series? it should upgrade also?
other thinks, I have problem also with my Lcd xps 13 9360 non touch. and its hard to find the parts. and the technician said "had to be open first to know the part number to order.."
are they lie or its just like that the procedure to order? as I know to get the spare part just input the "xps 13 9360 non touch"" than you will find on the market.
please your advice.

Were you able to upgrade the LCD to the QHD in the end? Does the XPS 13 originally assembled with a QHD have a different battery setup?

Dear ejn63
i need a screen replacment for my dell xps 9q23 which is a fhd touch panel ,
i was thinking the same idea to upgrade the panel to another higher one
there are no higher one for the same model
except there is one panel for xps 9250 which is a 4k non touch and a touch digitizer model for it separate -not in one panel like xps 9q23
both are 12.5 inch
and a 40 pin connector
would it work if i installed it instead
please advise ,
thank you and best regards
