An all in one is more like a laptop than a desktop. The input hdmi is for game boxes and similar peripherals. If you connect another computer, you might have to change the display settings on the AIO to recognize that--if it is capable of recognizing a computer. It is not automatic like a desktop. See your manual to double check the input hdmi and the output. There is an illustration to show ports on page 12 in the setup manual. Don't forget about the bottom Input Source Select button.

Thank you very much. It took a while to find the almost hidden button but when I did it solved the problem.
