XPS 13-9370, microSD capacity?

Hi Dell,

I have ordered a New XPS 13-9370, and wanted to check something about the microSD slot. Can you tell me if there is a maximum size limit to a microSD I can put there. I am going to buy a 400GB mSDXC card and want to make sure it will work.

I have heard conflicting responses,  people say that it works with larger SD cards like 256GB, 400GB. However a Dell staff member said 128GB is the official capacity. I really need someone to check and confirm this. I don't want to spend a lot of money buying a large SD card and find it does not work.

Appreciate your help

I just received and tested a SanDisk 400gb Ultra microSDXC card in my new XPS13-9370. It was recognized and identified immediately. I copied a 4GB photo folder and a 4.5GB movie from a NAS drive without issue and files open or play without error.

AnukoolS,

Your computer supports a microSD card with capacity up to 128 GB. It is possible that it may support a larger capacity card. Dell has only test the 128 GB in the reader.

Type One microSD-card slot
Cards supported
  • mSD
  • mSDHC
  • mSDXC

My Dell XPS 13 9370 recognises a 512GB SamSung Evo Plus micro SD card (UHS-I U3 100MB/s).
