Dell Venue 8 Pro 5830 Windows 10 1803 to Windows 10 1903
My first attempt to upgrade the Venue 8 Pro 5830 from Windows 10 1803 to Windows 10 1903 did not work -- the device downloaded the upgrade (albeit to a usb drive attached) but failed to install, at the point where approximately 17% of the installation was underway. I am just wondering if anyone else has experience with this. This device is rather old, but has been a great workhorse, and I do not see similar Windows devices on the market currently. Any comments appreciated. Thank you!

I am also interested to know if anyone has upgraded their Venue 8 Pro to Windows 10 1903. Like the previous poster, I am running 1803.
I recall attempting to upgrade to 1809 but several devices stopped working after the upgrade so I rolled back to 1803. The Venue 8 Pro has not given me an option to upgrade to 1903 through Windows Update but I suspect that is because I blocked the upgrade to 1809.

I've been running 1903 since May 2019 (apparently). I've had no problems.

One more thing... be sure to run all the driver and bios updates after the install.

I upgraded two Dell Venue 8 Pro 5830s this week. It was straightforward and both tablets run beautifully. I used the Windows 10 Media Creator for the process.

I never the USB sticks to work no matter what the size. Plugged in an external USB hard drive and everything went smooth. I am currently running 1909 in mine.
