XPS 2720 AIO, Windows 10 activation

well click activate, if the PC BIOS has  COA license inside BIOS then it actavate instantly.

why wait, just lick it.?

if that fails buy a new key on ebay for 5bucks.  (it's a cheap, OEM license with no support but who needs that?

some PCs with W8 COO i the BIOS , do free w10 updates, why not just click the activate button in system folder. CP.

When I click on that - it ask me to type the activation code, which I don't have.

I believe this PC has the W8 key inside the BIOS, but it didn't activate my W10 Pro that I currently have. should I install W8 instead of W10 which is currently installed?

If so - what edition should I install? I have non-activated W10 Pro edition at the moment. THANKS

The previous owner probably/likely had Win 8 (or 10) HOME and that key won't activate Win 10 Pro. So start over and install Win 10 Home and see if that activates...

what is there IDK.  but you can run tools to learn that,  w8, home? IDK>

I have T3610  dell here,  here is what I did.

that last link above works.

I run virustotal against and gets 100% no hits.

then run the app, sure , as magic the COA is there.

then extract it to text file and then at MS dot com,  look up the prefix rules on COA-'s

the Prefix tells you what it is, be that HOME ,PRO version. etc.

my wild guess, if the w8 home key is there w10 load free w10 home.

home for home.

I tried FirmwareTablesView, and I have 13 rows, but not MSDM (as shown at the picture).

I also tried ProduKey app by Nirsoft and it gave me some serial code that windows didn't accept, I'm not sure.

I know that some eBay codes are available out there, but I want to use the one that came with the PC and will work for 100% in the future.

So, I'm out of ideas right now, as Windows 10 won't get activated and Windows 8 install might be a waist of time...

For your last comment, I'm sorry but I didn't get your instruction(what is COA etc).

Dell offered this PC with Win 8 and supports 8.1 and 10 on it, so it should have an embedded code.

That said, it likely had Home and a Home key will not activate Pro, no matter what you do.

How did you "downgrade" from Pro to Home? On top of Pro or did you completely wipe the drive and do a clean Home install? If you did it on top, and any Pro files got left behind, it still might not activate Home.

Have you read this? And if all else fails, you're going to have to buy a legit key from somewhere...

There is no such thing as Pro to Home Downgrade.

You should be able to change the key to the Windows 7 COA key. It will then activate.

You install with the "I dont have a key option" then you activate by using the WIN7 home or Pro Key from the COA sticker.
