Service Tag Number not recognized?

I have a dead Dell i5584 laptop that's within the warranty period. Tried to contact Dell warranty for service, but the warranty check could not recognize the service tage number, or the express service code. Unable to proceed. Could someone please advise what to do? Thanks!

It is not a problem on your end, it is a problem with the Dell support page. I typed in my service tag number and it is not recognized either. And it has always been recognized. So Dell will have to correct the problem on the support web site.

In the meantime you could call Dell tech support and explain that the support site is not recognizing service tag numbers and they can help.

same happened to me just now, my 7567 service tag is not being recognised neither

Same here.

Along with the fact that it doesn't let me make a new discussion on the forum either ,thank god someone else did.

Seems to have lost all details of my previous orders too.

It appears to have been mostly corrected now ,for me anyway.

Well here we go again ,support site oddities with the same scenario.

You would think they could get their own site more reliable ,unless updating ,in which case a page banner to say as such would be an idea.

Hi,

My service tag in the system matching what's on the back of the laptop, but Dell website says that it's not recognized. 

I can see many people having the same problem, but solution nowhere to be seen!

Anyone managed to get this resolved?
