ihave that same problem saying cannot find server adjustyour browser setings it says ichanged the home page one time the current button came on i clicked it to see what happens and the res://c:\windows\system\shdoclc.dll/dnserror.htm came up .so how do you
get rid of that i change the default settings and i still get that when press on e for internet exployer i just canceled aol and removed it from the add/ remove and from the files and folders, ihave a isp
If you are getting page cannot be diplayed but are connected to your ISP you probably have a winsock problem. Are you using AOL? If you are, can you access AOL but just can't access the web and are using Win 98 or Win ME check the below link.
I am having the same problem. I can receive emails but can not get a page to be displayed when I log on to internet exployer. I have DSL connection and can log on to my laptop and surf the web but can not from my desktop. I have tried everything. Any suggestions?

Update Internet Explorer and see if that resolves the issue.
Thank you for choosing Dell.

for help resetting the Winsock files and the TCP/IP stack you can go to ....
http://sourceport.gotdns.com/computers/winsock.php
That is a step by step walkthrough for fixing that issue.
Let me know if that helps,
