hi

I have Dimension 4550,  Inter (R) 4 CPU 2.53GHz , 512MB                                        _NEC CD-RW NR-9300A                                                                                         Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, 5.1.2600, Service Pack 1                                  64MB DDR NVIDIA GeForce mx 420                                                                       

Using Dial-up  Connection

Well  here it  goes.

I tried everything  to get rid of Page Can Not Be Displayed.  And  I was told to do what you  stated  update Enternet Explorer  I done that  too  and Didn't  work.  I dont exact what  stated  follow the promps  and  Still Nothing

Rite now its  not to  bad  but it  is still irritating to see  Page Can Not Be Displayed

Whats Next  It don't  matter what  browser I use  It  don't  work 

but help a bit more then before 

anyother advice you can tell me  other option on how to get rid of it  for good

and  see page can be displayed   help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ihave that same problem saying cannot find server adjustyour browser setings it says ichanged the home page  one time the current button came on i clicked it to see what happens and the res://c:\windows\system\shdoclc.dll/dnserror.htm came up .so how do you
get rid of that i change the default settings and i still get that when  press on e for internet exployer i just canceled aol and removed it from the add/ remove  and from the files and folders, ihave a isp

Hi,

If you are getting page cannot be diplayed but are connected to your ISP you probably have a winsock problem. Are you using AOL? If you are, can you access AOL but just can't access the web and are using Win 98 or Win ME check the below link.

I am having the same problem. I can receive emails but can not get a page to be displayed when I log on to internet exployer. I have DSL connection and can log on to my laptop and surf the web but can not from my desktop. I have tried everything. Any suggestions?

 It might be that your Windows Registery Winsock communication files are corrupted. This is a great link

for help resetting the Winsock files and the TCP/IP stack you can go to ....

That is a step by step walkthrough for fixing that issue.
