Welcome to the Dell Community  @AbsoluteZero1

Power-on and start tapping the " F12 " key.

Do you see the options there???

Best regards,

Hi,

Thanks.

I have no problem login into BIOS via F2 or F12 quick boot. My question is regarding settings (Boot Sequence) when I am in the BIOS.

@AbsoluteZero1

Did you Enable "Load Legacy Option ROM" in the BIOS.

Table 4. System setup options—Boot menu

Boot List Option Displays the available boot devices.
File Browser Add Boot Option Allows you to set the boot path in the boot option list.
File Browser Del Boot Option Allows you to delete the boot path in the boot option list.
Secure Boot Control Allows you to enable or disable the secure boot control.
Load Legacy Option ROM Allows you to enable or disable the Legacy Option ROM.
Boot Option Priorities Displays the available boot devices.
Boot Option #1 Displays the first boot device. Default: UEFI: Windows Boot Manager.
Boot Option #2 Displays the second boot device. Default: Onboard NIC Device.
Boot Option #3 Displays the third boot device. Default: Onboard NIC Device.

Dell does not provide BIOS simulators so it is hard to say what needs to be set to include the USB and CD???

I cannot remember ever not being able to boot from USB after setting the BIOS to "Default" settings???

Every image I create I set the BIOS to "Default" then boot from USB.

I can check my warehouse for your model Monday morning and let you know if I find any more information.

Hi U2,

I appreciate you response.

I did Enable "Load Legacy Option ROM" in the BIOS but then later loaded defaults; I did not know what I was getting into.

What are boot option 2 & 3 for if system automatically boots from bootable media if present?

Also, where can I download the user guide Aptio American Megatrend Bios?

Thanks.

Regards,

You can always try connecting the bootable USB (or putting a bootable CD in the drive) before powering the PC on. Then power on and immediately press F12 and look for the option...
