If you do call Dell except this kind of non-sense:"The Inspiron 8200 is not intended for gaming... hence, we do not release updated video card drivers."

Next thing you know, Dell is going to claim the XPS isn't intended for gaming and the 600m isn't meant to be portable.

I downloaded it and ran setup.... still no good.  Everquest still asks for 5664.  You reckon I have to physically put it somewhere special.  I am no computer geek.  All I did was download, extract and then run the setup file.  It seemed to have worked.... ran the nvidia install wizard, then I restarted the computer.

MAKE SURE you have also downloaded the modded INF, and replace the original INF with the modded one, without it the driver won't install.
It's best not to run setup to install drivers.
Uninstall drivers via control panel 'Add remove Programs' then reboot.
When windows boots and asks to install the new found hardware point it to the location of the driver (56.64).
Now it should install the drivers.

Hope this helps,

Pieter.

I am not too sure that I know how to to what you are saying even with your great instructions, but I will try it.  I am hoping I don't screw it up. LOL

I downloaded the file from that website (above) and extracted it.  Inside the folder was a file called setup, and I ran that, hoping that the computer would know what to do and load the desired driver.  evidently that doesn't work. LOL

On the site you got the driver from (LaptopVideo2go) in the left hand frame is a button called 'Instructions'.
Step by step instructions with pretty piccies to go with it.
Have a go with this.
