Dell inspiron 510 keyboard left palm rest warming up

Question

Hi guys,I just bought a new Dell inspiron 510m with 1.7 GHZ Pentium M and 60 GB harddisk. I use my system for occassional internet browsing and running a couple of applications. What i have come to notice is that the system becomes unbearably warm on the top side of the key board near the left palm area. Am not sure whether this is a faulty component or not. Anyway, i have sent email to dell's email support and it was of no use since they have still not come back with the answer. Please dont tell me dell's support is this bad. ANyways, any help is gladly sought for my present problem. The system is pretty fast though. So i have no concerns there. And one more thing, i was wondering if this might have something to do with the speedstep technology of the processor? any ideas???? me is terrribly worried.

are your fans running? try testing the machine using dell diagnostics Cd which should have been provided with your machine.
