Outlook 2003 Hangs When Trying To Open Messages With Attachments

Question

Outlook 2003 goes to 'not responding' when I try to open emails with attachments.  I have installed SP3 and it still does it.  Also when I run a test on an individual email account, the 'send test message'  never goes thru.  Is there a setting somewhere I'm missing? Or does anyone have any suggestions?
