CABC = Content Adaptive Brightness Control
DBC = Dynamic Backlight Control

Since you do not see in the:

* BIOS, CABC, DBC, or EcoPower
* Windows 10 Settings- System- Display Adjust my screen brightness automatically

Then CABC/DBC cannot be turned off. This is by design on some models when on battery only and will not be changed. Just plug the AC power adapter in to resolve the issue.

We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the Service Tag number to ascertain the warranty but did not receive a response. Please feel free to reply to the private message whenever you are available.

Hi,

You already have the service tag. Virtual assistant sent me a message after I posted this. Just confirmed service tag by replying to "You’ve received a private message from Dell Community Forum " private message as well.

I don't think you have a fix for this issue yet. Think this issue applies to all the 7506 laptops and not just mine.

I made the original post to raise awareness of the issue.

I am in the exact same situation. Just got this laptop on Thursday (the 7506 2n1) and there is no way to change the fluctuating brightness issue. It is unfortunately a deal breaker if it indeed cannot be turned off.

If someone could reach out to me via private message that would be terrific. I'd really like not to have to return the laptop.

This is a know issue with Dell laptops (google DELL CABC)

I didn't know about the issue when I bought the system.  Wish I returned the system before the window closed.Spent hours setting up the system and didn't want to go through the hassle of setting up a new system.

Unless Dell comes up with an actual fix we are out of luck. Not holding my breath.

Costly mistake on my part

So you are telling us, that this feature can not be disabled?

Is Dell planning to add an option to the bios like they have done for other systems?

* No.

* No.

That article clearly shows an ambiguity, "may allow". It doesn't state, "will allow".
