I think there is no point for preparing cabs, when the support site has a download selector by service tag. Just collect those machines tags, and see the recent update downloads to install from the Internet-enabled machine. OK. there is a point, when you have hundreds of them in a local network. In that case there seem to be such thing as MS SCCM, and the Dell Command Integration Suite for SCCM. But since I have no experience in setting that up, I recommend contacting Dell's manager for detailed instructions and the list of necessary document to read.

Update November 10 = We have an update from our product engineering team. DCU cannot perform in offline mode. This will require internet to be connected. This is because the cab files cannot get updated with all the patches and fixes needed to correctly run.

@DELL-Chris M

Good day, we have about 80 dell precision 3581, and we need to update centralized drivers for this dell from local repository. (not all users have internet, internal restrictions.) As you mentioned in 2022 there is no option to install drivers from local repository. Any changes in 2024 ?  Is it possible to set via group policy an shared map, to load drivers in this shared map, and to set up via gpo this shared map in dell command update to install from it in.

I see that in dell command update there is only .cab files... in GPO i can't see where i can put a path for .exe to select update source location.

Is it functionality like at lenovo commercial vantage ? They have a local repository for installing centralized drivers.
