Yes, I just connected the keyboard and mouse to my mac laptop via usb ports and it works nicely with the monitor. Though I had to remap the option and command key so it matches the mac keyboard layout so I dont mistype. I prefer mechanical keyboard way more than the mac keyboard
A BT keyboard would require "connection" to the PC operating system. In this case the monitor is only connecting to the PC via HDMI or VGA, so no, would not work. You need some dock to connect directly to the Apple PC for your devices.

As far as I know, that is not possible. I have never seen a "conversion" from data USB through video HDMI or VGA.
