Is the Dell PowerEdge T620 a good starter server?

I haven't had an actual server yet, but I am wanting to get into networking. I don't know a lot about what's good and what isn't, but here is what I found:

Dell PowerEdge T620 Server Cpu: Intel Xeon E5-2667 Ram: 48 gigs of ECC

He will sell it to me for $300

I am wanting to host a couple (maybe) of minecraft servers, possible a plex server, a file server, etc. Would this be a good start for me?

Also, will I be getting my money's worth
