Hi,

Most of our Inspirons here have had a useful battery life of about 1-1/2 to 2 years.

Some laptops owners had better luck and are still running the original battery with no loss of time between charges, but they are not a majority.

I guess it's normal behavior given that our 15 inspirons show the same battery life.

Edit: I don't know of any recalibration utility for the 2650 battery, we just purchased new ones.
