It sounds as though your monitor has headed south.  I would suggest that you actually call the Dell Techies for assistance in troubleshooting this issue.  I suspect that they will be able to replace the monitor for you.  All Dell Branded monitors purchased from Dell have a minimum 3 year warranty -- longer if the system warranty is longer.
