That usually comes bundled with other software like
AOL, or
AIM. If you've recently installed either one of these, or any other software package, check "
Start | All Programs" for the folder containing what you've installed; look in there for an uninstaller for
ViewPoint Manager.
If you can't find the entries:
Download "
HiJackThis"; version
1.98.2. Be sure to place it in it's own folder, like "
C:\HJT", instead of a temporary downloads folder.
That way, if, when the temporary folders get 'flushed' you won't have to re-download the program and more importantly loose any backups it might have created. Next, click "
Scan", and "
Save log". Then, copy/paste the text that comes up in Notepad, and post it back to this thread.
Close both
Notepad and the
HiJackThis window.
Don't check and 'fix' any entry(s) at this point, since most of what it reports is 'good'.
