Have (2) 18" Dell & (1) 18" Sony LCD Monitors; and we use them for PhotoShop, Illustrator and Digital Editing. Colors are excellent for both. (Color corrected for Adobe). Settings are set for High 32 colors and 1024x768.
What are you using it for? If you're using it for games and want vibrant colors, you can get them with a Princeton 17" LCD. You should check out the monitors at Circuit City or similar. No use spending the big bucks unless the LCD really works for you. MP.
Good questions, but the 700m screen is so much better than the traditional LCD (it is very bright, clear... simply amazing). You have to see to believe. Just wondering if a 700m-like screen is available??
I tried to hook mine up with a 1703EP LCD monitor and it acts pretty kludgey. First off, the external monitor doesn't get a signal until the logon screen, so your not sure that it's even really working. second off, the hardwired resolution is to the laptop screen (meaning the image on the external monitor is cut off on one side and distorted). It's not until you log in that the resolution can be set via a user's display property. I called tech support and the tech support told me there's nothing you can do about that. Is there anything I can do to address this annoying problem?
