Inspiron 5000 Screw sizes and placement

Question

I have an Inspiron 5000. It was given to me by someone, as they were not able to get it to work. As it was dead, I figured I would REALLY take it apart - to individual pieces. (Lots of fun!!) Then, I noticed that the screw information in the 5000 docs does not have the sizes listed per screw. (I also have an Inspiron 4100, so I made the assumption that the documentation would be similar.)   Would anyone be able to help me? Perhaps I missed the information somewhere else? I just don't want to trial and error the screws back into the system.   Thanks very much!

Hi.   I have a 5000e with the same problem as veruca8p: I can't find the screw sizes for my machine. Unfortunately, they are not given in the doc link you posted. Is there anyplace to get a list of the screw sizes for 5000/5000e models?   Thanks in advance for any response.

I wish I could help you, but actually, I had to put the Inspiron 5000 project aside for a bit. It's in a pitiful (screwless) pile next to my desk! So, if you are able to track down any information, please do share. I will, of course, do the same! ... May have to break down and figure out how to measure ... something??
