Looking for Power Usage Statistics (AC watts) by Laptop model.

Question

Does anyone have laptop watt stats by model?  I'd be willing to swap stats on the Inspiron 7500 and 7000 for other models.  My goal is to find the model/cpu offering the biggest bang for the watt.   True AC wattage (not appearent VA) is best, but I'll take voltage X amps if that's all you have.   Thanks.

Well, for one, modern laptops will have a varying draw depending on load. But, best bang for hte watt is going to come from a small Pentium M based machine like the 600m or the 300m.

I get my stats from PowerChute, the APS/battery backup software, simply cause I have one, I like it cause it gives me current stats and stuff, just food for thought if you have a working UPS unit for your unit.

I don't have a wattage meter, so I can't help you beyond saying that a Pentium M based machine won't ever draw more than 65W.
