You'd think for being the top of line laptop for them...they'd have it in 17"

I doubt the XPS will ever get a 17".

Why would it be a mistake. You already bought one and it didn't have a 17" screen. The XPS is a niche notebook model.

Dell will not include a 17" screen on the XPS. It wouldn't fit. Now they may come out with a newer model that is like the XPS and has a 17" screen but it won't be for some time.

With all the differen companies coming out with 17 inch gaming laptops like hp, sony, alienware, sager, eurocom and so forth, I'm pretty positive that dell's xps2 will be 17 inch. If not they are are making a huge mistake.

I'm saying it would be a mistake on dell's part if there next generation xps, (hence i put xps2 in my earlier post, meaning that), would not be 17 inch. Alot of computer companies are coming out with 17 inch gaming laptops or in other words desktop replacement laptops with top of the line video cards. So if dell wanted to compete with them, I would think they would have the next generation xps be 17 inch widescreen. But hopefully it doesn't weigh a monstrous 13 to 14 pounds like the ones showing up at alienware, sager, voodoo, and eurocom. I don't know if any of you have seen those but they are huge! I thought the xps was big, heck these things weigh almost 5 pounds more. Hopefully the xps2 has 17 inch widescreen with the best hardware but stays under 10 or even better 9 pounds. Now that would be nice.
