Thanks a lot. I checked out most of the links related to my problem, and basically blew into the main vents. It hasn't solved anything, though, so I'm definitely going to take it in for repairs (since the CD-RW drive is messed up anyway) before my warranty runs out. Cheers, that was very helpful and very quick!
definitely contact dell before your warranty runs out and send it in. use every bit of that warranty up before it's gone. because once it's gone, it's gone for good (unless you're lucky enough to be within a 30-day window)
