That is Dell B.S. On my 5th replacement monitor they promised to ship a monitor NOT manufactured in Nov 2004. Guess what i got - Nov 2004. Dell is a big company and like most big companies the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing.
So i told them i will call in a couple of months and request a new replacement and they agreed and gave me a case number to refer to.
I know this is a dell forum, but they also sell other 20 inch monitors. Does any one have any advice? I mostly game need somthing around 16ms. This is the last time with the 2001fp. Customer service told me that the forth monitor will be thoroughly tested and also wrote a note saying zero dead pixels they are going to ship it 3 to 5 day this will give them time to test it right or is thie all B.S.?
Lee63, When you get customer care just say that you have half a dozen dead pixels and you want it exchanged for a new one. They will say that they will want to transfer you to tech support to resolve the issue. Don't allow them to do that. Tell them this is not a problem tech support can resolve. Customer care can chat directly with dispatch and you will be issued a new order number for the exchange. Took me 10-15 min per exchange.
same situation here lee, 3rd with dead pixels. I think I reached the final stage of trying to request a monitor that functions at a satisfactory level.
