Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

You can use your system to install the driver from the cd. Here are some things to try and resolve the issue with the faint lines.

  • Perform monitor reset
  • Push Auto Adjust button
  • Adjust Phase and Clock controls via OSD
  • Perform monitor self-test feature check and determine if these lines are also in self-test mode
  • Check for bent or broken pins
