Dedicated Anti-Trojan - ?necessary

Is a dedicated anti-trojan program, such as 'a squared' ( http://www.emsisoft.com/en/) or 'ewido' ( http://www.ewido.net/en/) - both have free versions, required in addition to antivirus and antispyware programs?   The anti-trojan companies (and others) say that anti-virus programs are not good at detecting trojans;  but others say that anti-virus programs are now much better.   In fact one test suggests that anti-virus programs are significantly better  than the dedicated anti-trojan programs at detecting trojans - see http://www.claymania.com/tests-trojan.html .   I myself had the 'trojandownloader.h' trojan,  which McAfee found and deleted.  Afterwards, to be sure my computer was clean, I installed both 'a squared' and 'ewido' - but nothing was found.   I am wondering if I should keep these programs, or just rely on McAfee.

NO to keeping these programs, ie a-squared and ewido,  or NO to keeping these programs and relying on McAfee? Could you please also give your reasons. Thanks.
