I have an "old" 8100 with "mere" Pentium 3-1G yet have few problems running BF1942 with the Radeon 7500-64 at full uxga resolution. It is not the latest and fastest card, but it is very capable and runs most games well, including BF1942. The ati catalyst drivers are improving all the time. It pays to experiment with sound and graphics settings within the game, as always.
