Problems with keyboard shortcuts on Inspiron 5100

Question

I'm having alot of problems when it comes to pressing two keys at the same time. For example, when I'm playing many games, I cannot press the arrows and spacebar at the same time, it simply doesn't register. Also in the new version of photoshop (adobe photoshop cs), NONE of the shortcut keys using the ctrl key work. All the shortcut keys, etc work fine on my other computer with the same pieces of software that give me problems on this laptop. Is there some kind of driver update or other fix for this problem?? It's really annoying because it handicaps me from doing many things.

yeah um... the complaint about photoshop.. that was due to a erm... faulty install... yeah.. that issue was resolved. But I still the spacebar + arrow key problem.
