17 R2, installing new SSD
I have an Alienware 17 R2 laptop (warranty expired on September 30, 2016) which has Samsung SSD PM851 M2.2280 128GB.
Recently the laptop has slowed dramatically. Upon checking I found that the SSD has very limited space left, so felt a need to upgrade to a higher capacity SSD.
There are three more NGFF (Next Generation Form Factor) slots available.
Please advise whether I can install the Samsung 860 EVO Basic Solid State Drive M.2 SATA III 1TB INTERNAL SSD & make it the primary boot drive?
Another option for SSD is Western Digital 1TB SSD M.2 2280 SATA III 6Gb/s Blue 3D NAND.
If any better SSD option is available, please advise. Please write if you need any more information.
